GeoDis (version 1.06 or later) can display the position on the map while connected to a GPS device

GPS only works with the Series 3a/3c version of GeoDis currently. Sorry!

GPS (Global Positioning System) is based on satellites which are in the orbit of the earth. A GPS device can receive and interpret the signals of the satellites to calculate its actual position and direction of movement. When a NMEA-0183 compatible GPS is connected via serial port to the Psion Series 3a/3c, GeoDis will constantly draw the current position and heading on the map. Of course, all features of GeoDis such as moving or zooming the map, displaying of cities and overlays etc. will continue to work. The waypoints may be saved to a textfile for later compilation into an overlay which will draw the route on the map.
